Project 52/1000
With each new opportunity that opens for the ministry I am challenged to a greater step of faith in the Lord. I realize that just because a door opens, doesn’t mean we should step through it. I would like to share with you some new and exciting opportunities we are praying over for this new year. Resource Expansion As I travel and speak at teen and women’s events around the country, I am constantly getting asked for new material. We have been praying about how God would want us to respond to this need. I am presenting an appeal to God’s people to determine what direction God would have us go. TruthSearch for Guys As God has blessed TruthSearch (our DVD Bible study for Girls), the constant question we are receiving is, “Do you have a study for the guys?” Although we are a ministry that focuses on women, I do not want to ignore an opportunity that God would have for us to minister. Recently, a mother came to me after I spoke with tears in her eyes. She shared with me the difficulty she was having with her son and she said, “Please do this study for the boys too, my son needs it so badly.” We are praying and asking God to give us wisdom in response to this opportunity and I would like to ask you to pray with us. We are in the early stages of putting this project together. I have asked my brother, Wes Bowman to pray about helping us with this project. Wes has been involved with youth ministry for twelve years. He has worked with college and career, singles and as a youth pastor for over 10 years. He has recently stepped out as an evangelist and is conducting the Coast2Coast youth conferences. I believe Wes would be a great fit to write the workbook and do each DVD session. Hosea Bible Study for Women Several years ago, God led me to study the book of Hosea. The truths and vibrant picture of the love of God that flows from this study has never left my heart or mind. I would like for our first Bible study for women to be on the book of Hosea. Much of the core material is already written since I have already taught the study for the women of my church. I believe that this is the direction that God would have us go for our first women’s Bible study. In my meetings over the past several weeks I have already begun to share these opportunities with the women that attended. The response has been overwhelmingly strong and I am excited about this new project. Making it a Reality In each city we are in, I am presenting our prayerful desire to raise $52,000 to help cover the costs of these amazing opportunities to expand the ministry's resources and outreach potential. We are calling this project 52/1000. By God’s grace, we are inviting 52 of our generous supporters to give $1000 to this expansion in the next year. I would like to extend this opportunity to you.
