Lisa's Bio

Growing up in the heart of rural Missouri you would think that Lisa would have heard about Jesus and His love for her at an early age.  However, Lisa was 20 years old when she heard the Gospel for the first time.  By this time she had already been through enough heartache to realize she needed something that the world could not give.  At the young age of four, Lisa lost her mother to cancer.  Being the oldest of three children, she tried to step up and provide the stability her siblings needed.  As her father struggled to cope with the loss of his wife, the children were passed among the family members.

These early struggles caused Lisa to wonder if there was anyone who would never leave her.  At the age of 20 years old she sat in a church service and for the first time heard the wonderful news that Jesus loved her and would never leave her.  It was the very thing she had spent her life searching for and that day she gave her heart and soul to the One who had given all for her.

Shortly after trusting Christ Lisa went to a Christian college and graduated four years later with a strong desire to work with young people.  God has given her many wonderful opportunities and experiences to serve Him from being a full-time nanny to working on staff at a Christian Camp.  In 2006, God led her to move to Chattanooga, TN to work with Dare for More Ministries.  Today she works with women of all ages coordinating all the details of the ministry, teaching Bible studies, and she continues to work with young girls by conducting sessions and workshops.
