The Perfect Storm 

“The Perfect Storm,” those words just don’t go together. How can something as fearful and as devastating as a storm be perfect? In nature, a perfect storm is when the best of the worst collide. We use phrases like “Category 5” and “finger of God” to explain the indescribable. But in God’s realm, the perfect storm is when every trial and hardship is orchestrated by Him for our best and for His glory. Even when Satan tries to throw his worst at us, God catches it and turns it around for good.

Because God loves us so much, He never allows pain without purpose. He longs for us to run to Him and find shelter, courage, strength, and help in our times of distress. In these moments, we are drawn closer to Him and we begin to understand His working in our lives.
