August 21, 2008I am in Miami, Florida today. I am doing a combination Christian school and ladies conference all in one. I am at Westwood Christian School with their Junior and Senior high girls. They are having a fun filled back to school retreat despite the tropical storm bouncing around the area. This is my first time in Miami. Tonight we went down to the beach just to look around. It was a beautiful drive. I just love the beach. Tomorrow I speak in the morning to the girls again and then we start the women’s retreat tomorrow evening at 5:30 pm. Please pray for me as I speak. I spoke at the school where I graduated today. It’s hard to believe it has been 23 years since I walked across that platform in cap and gown. But there I stood 23 years later in the same auditorium talking to the 7th through 12th grade girls. It was a bit nostalgic and I couldn’t help but be flooded with memories. What a privilege it was to talk with those girls. It felt like it an opportunity to give back for all those years people had poured into my life. Now I am on the trek back to Chattanooga. Please pray for me this week; it will be a busy one. Leave a comment
