Answered Prayer
It has been so exciting to watch God work in Dare for More Ministries. There were days when I wasn't sure if I was going to make it and every time He came through as only He can. One of my greatest needs has been help in running the daily operations of the ministry. Three years ago, God brought me a wonderful source of help in the person of Lisa Potter. The ministry was not able to hire Lisa and bring her on full-time but Lisa was sure God was calling her and so she stepped out in faith and moved to Chattanooga. God blessed her with a wonderful job at the American Association of Christian Schools and for the last three years she has worked for them and helped Dare for More out as much as she could. There were weeks when she put in a total of 70-80 hours between both jobs and I stood amazed at her willingness to continue at that pace. I prayed that God would bless her faithfulness and allow us to bring her on full-time. God has answered our prayers. I am pleased to announce that Lisa has joined the staff at DFM. She will continue to handle her previous duties: meeting scheduling and details, website, and correspondence. And she will also take on some new tasks that have been waiting on her arrival. Our ministry to teens and young girls has really grown over the past few years and I want to make sure that we do a good job ministering to the girls. Lisa will be overseeing the tween and teen areas of the ministry. I am so excited because this will allow us to expand our outreach to the younger girls who are 10-12 years old, as well as continue to minister to the teens. Lisa is a wonderful speaker and God has given her a special burden for young people. She will be available to speak as well as oversee all the aspects of the youth ministry. Of course I will still be involved in working with our teens and I will continue to speak and write material for them but now we will have the opportunity to do a better job and break the groups down into ages and even workshops.
